Precision. Expert. Balayage
What is balayage?
Balayage (from the French word meaning "to sweep") is a freehand hair colouring technique that creates a graduated, natural-looking effect. Unlike traditional highlights, balayage allows for softer, more blended regrowth lines, mimicking the way hair naturally lightens in the sun.
It’s perfect for those wanting a low-maintenance colour with maximum impact, whether it’s soft brunette tones, creamy blondes, or rich, dimensional shades.
Balayage hair extensions
We offer a range of looks from brown balayage to balayage hair extensions and everything in between.
If you're looking to add length or volume while achieving a beautifully blended balayage effect, our Great Lengths hair extension specialists can create a custom-coloured result that seamlessly matches your natural or coloured hair. This is a great option for clients who want to enhance their balayage without waiting for their hair to grow.
Why balayage at Bond salon?
Balayage at Bond isn’t a one-size-fits-all service. Each appointment is tailored to you. Every lightening, toning and glossing step is carried out by your stylist, never an assistant. We believe in precision, care and creativity at every stage.
We begin with something many other salons skip: a complimentary, pre-booked 15-minute consultation and allergy patch test. We take this seriously. It’s not just a formality. It’s a vital part of ensuring your safety, understanding your hair goals, and allowing our stylists to plan enough time to get it just right.
Help us, help you
Bring in images of what you love (and what you don’t). This helps your stylist tailor your look and avoid anything you want to steer clear of.
Your stylist will be with you throughout the full appointment, from the first sweep of colour to the final blow dry.
Caring for your balayage
Balayage is a lightening process, and your hair’s condition is our top priority. We always recommend adding Olaplex to protect and strengthen your hair during the service.
To lock in your perfect shade, most balayage usually requires a toner. This step neutralises unwanted undertones and helps us customise the finish—from icy cools to golden warmth. And unlike many salons, we never pass this step off to an assistant.
We’ll also recommend ongoing at-home care using Bumble and bumble Bond Building Shampoo and Conditioner to help maintain your colour, boost shine, and keep your hair in the best possible shape between appointments.

Balayage
In French, Balayage means 'sweeping.' At Bond, it also means beautiful contouring and low-maintenance colour. We create each balayage with freehand strokes to lighten the hair for subtle colour, or more dramatic texture if you’d like. Balayage is best for those who’d rather witness a softer regrowth and don’t have time to see us too often. *All colour prices start from.

Toner
To refresh the shade of your previously lightened hair, a toner is your go-to. It’ll take out the brassy notes, the too-cool notes, and get that colour back to a perfect equilibrium. For those daring enough, a toner can also be a way to experiment with vibrant tones or soft pastels. It washes out eventually, so why not, eh? *All colour prices start from.
