Precision. Expert. Highlights
What are highlights?
Highlights are created by weaving fine or bold sections of hair and lifting them close to the root through to the ends. Because colour is placed at the scalp, highlights are ideal for those who love brightness from the root and a polished, consistent finish.
Unlike balayage, highlights are applied using foils - giving your colourist precise control over placement, tone and intensity.
Every highlight service begins with a complimentary consultation to plan your personalised colour.
Bespoke highlights, designed around you
No two heads of hair are the same, and no two highlight appointments at Bond are either. Every foil is placed with your haircut, natural base colour and the way your hair moves in mind.
Whether you're looking for subtle highlights, highlights for brunettes, or a brighter blonde transformation, our colourists focus on dimension that looks soft and lived-in.
To protect the condition of your hair, your service may include toning, a gloss treatment or a bond building treatment such as Olaplex.
Taking the time to get highlights right
Some hair needs more time - and we always plan for it. If your hair is particularly thick, long or you'd like a lot of brightness placed for impact, we build in extra time so every foil can be positioned properly, without rushing.
We begin every colour journey with a complimentary, pre-booked consultation and allergy patch test. This is where we assess your hair, understand your colour goals, and give you an accurate quote before anything is booked. No surprises, and no corners cut.
Highlights & balayage - often combined
Colour is rarely one technique, and we often blend both to create the most natural, dimensional result possible.
Highlights allow us to brighten closer to the root and blend grey, while balayage adds softness and movement through the mid-lengths and ends. Together, they create:
- Brightness exactly where you want it
- Soft, seamless movement through the lengths
- Effortless, gradual grow-out
- Dimensional colour that looks like it belongs
Grey blending with highlights
Highlights are one of the most effective and natural-looking ways to soften regrowth and transition towards or maintain grey hair.
Using ultra-fine foils and carefully placed face framing pieces, we introduce lighter sections close to the root to blur the line between your colour and your natural grey or white hair. Over time, this creates:
- Softer, less obvious regrowth
- Reduced contrast at the root
- A modern, dimensional finish that's genuinely low maintenance
We'll guide your ongoing colour maintenance, toning and any correction needed to keep everything looking fresh.

Highlights
We call them Classic Highlights, but there’s nothing run-of-the-mill about our approach to colour. We hand paint sunkissed baby lights and natural weaves, and starting from the root of the hair, we blend colour seamlessly to create light and shade in a way that leaves your friends wondering if it really was that trip to Mykonos. *All colour prices start from.

Balayage
In French, Balayage means 'sweeping.' At Bond, it also means beautiful contouring and low-maintenance colour. We create each balayage with freehand strokes to lighten the hair for subtle colour, or more dramatic texture if you’d like. Balayage is best for those who’d rather witness a softer regrowth and don’t have time to see us too often. *All colour prices start from.

Toner
To refresh the shade of your previously lightened hair, a toner is your go-to. It’ll take out the brassy notes, the too-cool notes, and get that colour back to a perfect equilibrium. For those daring enough, a toner can also be a way to experiment with vibrant tones or soft pastels. It washes out eventually, so why not, eh? *All colour prices start from.
